Monty Madaris commits to Michigan State!

Finally!

Monty Madaris, a three-star wide receiver from Cincinnati (Moeller), committed to Mark Dantonio and Michigan State on Sunday.

After taking his official visit to MSU on Dec. 9, Madaris also visited Cincinnati on Dec. 16 — his other finalist. He also was in East Lansing last weekend. He is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 55 wide receiver nationally, and the 19th player from the state of Ohio.

Moeller High School also sent Greg Jones and Marcus Rush to MSU.

The 6-foot-2, 190 pound receiver  was named to the Ohio Division I all-state first team after hauling in 56 receptions for 1,137 yards and 16 touchdowns. He also had 280 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

Here is a piece on Madaris’ commitment from Mike Dyer of the Cincinnati Enquirer — who is THE guy to follow for all information on the Cincinnati area in recruiting.
