Day-Day is day-to-day
Draymond Green underwent an MRI Wednesday morning and it came up negative.
Green has been diagnosed with a left knee sprain and is day-to-day.
He suffered a knee injury late in the Spartans’ loss to Illinois.
It appeared that Green hit knee-to-knee with an Illini player. He went down, visibly in pain, and was seen on the bench receiving treatment from trainers. He did not return to the game.
After the game, he did not talk to reporters, but was seen leaving the locker room on crutches with an ice pack on his knee.
The good news for Spartans fans is Green is a warrior and will battle back. The Spartans play against Michigan on Sunday at Breslin Center.
It has been well-documented that Green has struggled against the Wolverines in his career, so coming back off this injury and playing well in that game would be a great storyline for the senior.
Green is leading MSU with 14.9 points, 10.3 rebounds, 1.5 steals, 1.1 blocks per game. He is second on the team with 3.5 assists per game.
